In short: we don't track you

If you haven't said yes to statistics and marketing, nothing. The site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser other than your own answer to the cookie question, and loads nothing from third parties - fonts and images are on our own domain. Nothing is sent to Google, not even an anonymous call.

The website is hosted by Vercel. The site consists solely of static files, so no code runs on the server - but Vercel records ordinary information about the requests, including IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. The log is kept for at most one day.

The first time you visit the site, we ask whether we may measure how it's used. If you say no - or don't answer - nothing is loaded from Google, and no cookies are set. If you say yes, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads are loaded, and they set cookies in your browser.

The purpose is to see how many people find the site, what they look at, and which ads brought them here. We use it to judge whether advertising is worth the money - not to recognize you as a person.

The cookie names begin with _ga and _gcl. They stay in your browser for up to two years (_ga) and 90 days (_gcl). Google also sets a short-lived test_cookie, used solely to determine whether cookies can be set in your browser; it expires after 15 minutes. We have set data retention in Google Analytics to 14 months, after which it's deleted automatically.

The legal basis is your consent - Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and section 3 of the Danish Cookie Order. You can withdraw it at any time at the bottom of the page, and the cookies already set will then be deleted again.

Your answer is stored in your own browser under the name “myguides-samtykke-v1”. It's necessary in order to remember what you said, and therefore doesn't require consent in itself. It isn't sent anywhere.

Booking takes place in Microsoft Bookings. The calendar is only loaded when you click the button yourself - until then, nothing is sent to Microsoft, and no cookies are set by them.

When you click the button, Microsoft's page is loaded in the frame, and Microsoft sets its own cookies. The information you fill in when booking - name, email address and your message - you send to us via Microsoft. It's processed under Microsoft's terms and ours.

We use the information to hold the meeting and to follow up afterwards. If it doesn't lead to a collaboration, we delete it 12 months after our last contact.

If you become a customer, we keep it for as long as the collaboration lasts. Accounting records, however, we keep for five years after the end of the financial year they relate to - as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.

If you write to jk@tools4bc.com, your email is stored in our mail system. We use it to reply to you, and we delete the correspondence 12 months after our last contact if it doesn't lead to a collaboration.

We don't sell information on, and we don't use it for anything other than replying to you and holding the meeting you've asked for.

To do that, we use three suppliers who process the information on our behalf: Microsoft, which provides the booking system and our email, Vercel, which hosts this website, and - if you've said yes - Google, which provides the statistics and advertising tools. We have data processing agreements with all three.

All three are US companies, so the information may be transferred to the United States. The transfer takes place under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCCs), which form part of their data processing agreements. Google and Microsoft are also both certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to the processing. Write to jk@tools4bc.com, and we'll get back to you.

If you've said yes to statistics and marketing, you can withdraw it at any time - it doesn't affect the lawfulness of what happened before.
